What’s Hiding in Your Carpet?

Vacuuming is an essential household chore that helps keep your home clean and free of dust, dirt, and other debris. Did you know that Powered Vacuuming was invented in 1901 by Hubert Cecil Booth, a British Engineer? The first vacuum cleaners were large, heavy machines that required two people to operate and horses to pull it. And looked a lot like this:

Vacuum cleaners work by creating suction that pulls dirt and debris into a bag or canister. It can help reduce allergens in your home such as dust mites and pet dander. Vacuuming is recommended at least once a week, or more often if you have pets or allergies.

Interesting fact: Vacuuming can burn up to 100 calories per hour, making it a great low-impact exercise. No need to go to the gym! Just vacuum!

Todays Blog Post is about, you guessed it, Vacuums! Vacuums come in all shapes and sizes and have come very far over the last 120 years. Gone are the days when you needed a huge heavy machine to clean your home. Todays Review is about a specific vacuum that is a complete game changer.

I originally bought this vacuum because it was on sale. I had heard from a rabbit group I follow online that Shark Vacuums are the best for cleaning up rabbit droppings. (I Have a Small House rabbit, fun fact: rabbits make about 300-500 droppings a day) I needed something that was powerful enough to clean up after my Rabbit when he decided not to use his litter box.
I loved the look of this Vacuum from first glance. To be honest it was very intimidating at first. It definitely looked like it would be more than tough enough for the job I had in mind for it. Actually a YouTube review I watched shown it could suck up pool balls in the hose. I’ll leave the link below:

The The Shark NV360 Navigator Claims it has a POWERFUL SUCTION. It can Deep-clean carpets and tackle bare floors with multi-surface powerful suction. It Also Claims it’s PERFECT FOR Pet Hair. And so far, this is definitely the case for both Claims! It definitely met and exceeded my expectations and cleaned as well as I needed. I mean, it took the pet hair right out of the carpet and left the carpet visibly cleaner along with removing any and all rabbit droppings. Need I say more?
Along with this The Shark NV360 Navigator goes above and beyond by having ANTI-ALLERGEN COMPLETE SEAL TECHNOLOGY. Which means It Works with a HEPA filter to trap dust and allergens inside the vacuum cleaner. Why is this a good thing?

Dust mites up above. GROSS.

There’s lots of pet dander, mold, mites, and other nasty  things living in your carpet rent free!  Not only does Vacuuming help remove these from your home it also improves air quality in your home, which in turn helps reduce allergens. The Shark NV360 Navigator keeps 99.9% of these Allergens completely sealed away so they don’t escape back into the air while vacuuming. Impressive!

What makes The Shark NV360 Navigator  even better? Rewashable Filter! Who doesn’t love reusable items? I know I do! To clean: Rinse filters under running tap water until the water runs clear.
Squeeze filters and let air dry for 24 hours before replacing. Do not wash in dishwasher or washing manufacturer warns.

The Shark NV360 Navigator Has a large Capacity dust cup of about .9 quarts which is good for long cleaning sessions. It’s very easy to empty. This vacuum also includes an Upholstery Tool & Crevice Tool to help with areas in your home that also need a deeper clean.

The Shark NV360 Navigator  is very mobile and lightweight for a plug in vacuum. This Vaccum can even come off the pod to use up high or down low with the hose. You can even use it on your stairs without having to sacrifice how powerful of a clean it will give. Other neat functions this product has is Swivel Steering and BrushRoll Shutoff, which allows you to instantly switch from deep carpet clean to gentle bare floor cleaning.

I definitely am impressed with this product. Sharks have become my new favorite Vacuum brand because of this vacuum. I would recommend it at any one. Especially those with high allergies caused by pet dander and mites!

To recap, Vacuums have come a long way in the past 120 years. All the way from requiring two people and horses to use it to now being able to move it freely and easily anywhere in your home. Vacuums not only keep your home tidy as far as the eye can see, it also gets rid of so many bad things hiding in your carpet. Vacuums are definitely products that enhance our daily living in so many ways.

Until next time busy bees!
